Film & Media Studies is about appreciating and critiquing movies as well as about the content, effects and history of various media.

Such media include 'old' media like television and newspapers and also 'new' media based on the Internet.

Studying in this areas involves learning to recognise the themes and ideas presented and appreciating their historical, social and cultural contexts and significance.
