European Studies is about Europe – the continent's history, culture, politics, literature, art, music, etc.

Studying in this area involves learning about the historical and contemporary experiences of people in Europe.

This includes Europe's influence on the rest of the world, including New Zealand, and vice versa.

European Studies does not usually involve the learning of a European language.
